FSL Showcase Storylines December 30

12U Jr. Ooks

Taking Aim

The road to the championship was much easier than the title game, but the Jr. Ooks still pulled it off.

Defeating Vancouver 3-1 in the title game, thanks in part to the Jr. Ooks outshooting Vancouver 16-1 in the second period.

Annika Anderson scored twice in the win while teammate Willow Todd led the tournament in scoring.

14U Jr. Ooks

Battling Back

Adversity served the Jr. Ooks well in the Alpine Cup, as they dropped their opening two games of the tournament, scoring just two goals.

However, the Jr. Ooks rallied with three wins, including the final, defeating Bow Valley 5-4 in overtime, scoring 13 goals in their final three wins.

The championship game saw overtime as the Jr. Ooks' Elliya Klaus ended things.

16U Langley Leafs

Overtime Thriller

After losing just once en route to the final, the Langley Leafs dug in for a tough match with the Minnesota Ice Cougars.

The game was scoreless through 20 minutes, but Minnesota fired 29 shots over the final two periods.

Tied at one, things needed overtime and went down to 1 v 1, where Olivia Bath won it, after Langley pulled the goalie for the extra attacker.
