The Lloydminster Jr. Rustlers put on an impressive display this weekend in the FSL 14U division, marked by two compelling shootout victories and a satisfying win on Sunday before heading home. After a narrow 4-3 loss to the Jr. Ooks on Friday, the Rustlers quickly regrouped, clinching a hard-fought 4-3 shootout victory over Angels Pro Hockey on Saturday morning, who had also started their weekend with an important win. The Rustlers momentum continued through Saturday evening as they edged out the Winnipeg Lady Spartans 5-4 in another nail-biting shootout. They capped off their successful weekend with a dominant 6-2 victory over the Jr. Ooks, putting their earlier defeat behind them. The Jr. Rustlers are quickly establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the division, demonstrating impressive resilience and a strong work ethic. This weekend's action clearly highlighted the tight competition in the 14U division, and we eagerly anticipate more exciting FSL matchups in Delta, BC and Calgary, AB beginning Saturday.
